Halo Bereti (Natural, Ethiopia)

Halo Bereti (Natural, Ethiopia)

We've brought back Halo Bereti for the third time in our short existence. It really wowed us back in 2024, and it was the first seasonal coffee we roasted and dispatched for wholesale, back when we had no branding or proper packaging - just 'Halo Beriti' scrawled with sharpie on a white kg sack.

The coffee itself is from the Yirgacheffe region in the Gedeo Zone and comes to be by the work of over 450 smallholding farmers that deliver their crop to be processed. The high altitudes (up to 2200 MASL), fertile volcanic rich soils and ample rainfall all harmonise to hone this lot’s fruit-floral complexity.

Coffee plays a central and active role in the community of Kochere's lives and cultural identities.  Many of the families rely on the crop as their primary income source, with harvest-time seen as a time for celebration and a coming together for communities to pick ripe cherries.

We've worked with Falcon each time on bringing this coffee over - thanks, George.

Tasting fantastic. Bright blueberry, refreshing and delicate watermelon character, with a perfumed finish
